India Island Academy! A paradise of Indian arts, which promotes, shares and nourishes Indian Arts and culture and makes it accessible to all and aims to bring people together in the community

India Island Academy popularly known as IIA was established in 2016 in Birmingham, UK. IIA is run by The Founder Mrs Sandhya Aaytee and a group of dedicated professionals/volunteers and highly experienced teachers who work very hard to ensure the best out of every student. There is ample opportunity for students to perform on stage and showcase their talent in the local community & outside alongside accomplishing their gradings and certification. Based in the heart of Birmingham, we run weekly classes in a wide range of arts, all under the same roof. From vibrant dance forms - Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam), Bollywood, Bolly Zumba to Purna Vidya - Bhajans, Slokas and Mythological stories to soulful Carnatic vocals, Yoga and meditation to creative Painting, Baking, arts and crafts to language classes - Telugu/Hindi/Sanskrit we have just the right ingredients you need to take you back to the roots and feel close to home.
